'n Groep Christen-Afrikaners van verskillende onderwysagtergronde, verenigings en kerke het op 28 Augustus 2002 op inisiatief van wyle mev Linda Malan van VCHO byeengekom en besluit dat netwerk-samewerking (d.w.s. sonder verlies van individue of groepe se identiteit) die aangewese weg vorentoe is.
Die beginselgrondslag is op Bybelgefundeerde grondslag omskryf.
Die Forum (netwerk) funksioneer met eie identiteit hoofsaaklik as elektroniese vereniging met behulp van elektroniese poslys(te) en 'n eie webwerf (cof.org.za).

[CO Netwerk] is not the official mouthpiece of COF, but an discussion forum - mainly in Afrikaans - to share information amongst those people who accept the need for Christian education - as understood from the reformed christian perspective.
We would like to promote Christian Education in all its facets as wide as possible amongst Christians who believe in message of the Bible. Every contributor and contributing organisation maintains its own identity - which must be respected as a prerequisite for contributions.
